Lavender Fields

Morning Lovelies

Lavender - a plant with small pale purple flowers that have a sweet smell and grows in the wildwoods.

Today's outfit explores a lavender button up blouse from Hunter the Label sold at Wildwood. The pretty pale shade is unmistakably feminine, but it's also refreshingly au courant.
I have enhanced the colour of the blouse by accessorising it with the pastal purple Mix Metal Facet Triangle Rope Necklace from Lovisa.

Pastel is a soft and delicate palette and is refreshing for corporate wear.
I have tucked the blouse into the black high-waisted pants also from Hunter the Label.

To finish of the look I have accessorised it with the Stephanie Fold Over Crossbody Bag from Collette and Milled shoes from Wittner.

This outfit is fun for the office and is sure to get some attention.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Love TWD xo

Detox

Morning Lovelies

This morning I sit at my work desk feeling enlightened.

Why you may ask?

Well this morning at 6:30am I tried power yoga for the first time.
The class was heated to approximately 30 degrees and whilst I commenced the practise of yoga, I sweated out all of the toxins from my body.

After the class I felt refreshed and revitalised and can't wait to do it all again tomorrow! Power Yoga Canberra have an introductory offer of $20 for 10 consecutive days.
Try it and let me know how you liked it?

Today's outfits are from the Alice Be Curious Boutique.
With this festive season coming up you need to be wearing gorgeous outfits and you can guarantee on getting them from Alice Be Curious!

Hope you all have a fanastic day. Love TWD xo

Not so Tuesday blues....

Keep Calm, it's Tuesday!

Tuesday is the perfect day to brighten up the work place with a bold colour.

When you wear a bright shade of blue it can make you feel happy and confident.
Blue is a masculine colour and is considered beneficial to the mind and body.

Todays outfit is from the YD store in the Canberra Centre.
It captures the very essence of the colour blue.

Hope you love it! Love TWD xo

How to dress your man

Good afternoon lovelies

You can't deny that when a man walks into your office wearing a well thought out outfit that it grabs your attention. You then think to yourself who's the woman behind the man that picked that outfit out!
I'm am not trying to say that all man need help in the wardrobe department, but some men are hopeless and need an extra hand from a female perspective.
So how to dress your man?
Firstly you can’t make it all about you!
He probably won’t like it and will accuse you of being ‘controlling’.
When shopping for work outfits think about what his job position is, what presence he would like to make, what his favourite colours are, what style suits him best and what is your budget.
Once you have taken all of the above into consideration you then need to hit the shops to see what is available.
For example if your man is a public servant, in a APS 3 level position, works in a policy section, likes bright colours and comfortable pants, and your budget is around $400 then the perfect place for you to start is at the YD store in the Canberra Centre.
You'll be keeping an eye out for an outfit that creates a strong presence, looks professional and defines his own personal style. The YD store has many choices with an extensive selection of colours, styles, fits and trends.
Below is a YD outfit that captures the essence of a hard working office man who is looking for a promotion. The blue Kuma slim fit dress shirt adds a pop of colour to the office and when paired with the grey Karl Dress Jacket,  personalises the outfit to his style. Put it with the comfy black Darval Chino's which are stylish and slim fitte and complete the outfit with a Fierce Dress Belt and Hampen Dress Shoes.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Love TWD xo

Check Mate

Morning Lovelies

Continuing on from my Playing Checkers post, today's post gives style advice to keep your man on trend by dressing him in check print.

The key to wearing Check is to make sure that the squares stay straight and not distorted. Therefore loose and square fitted silhouettes work best with this print.

Check out the Canberra Centre's YD store. They are currently selling the Caine Shirt featuring the check print trend for men's wear. The shirt is a checked roll up shirt with a regular fit, featuring a narrow collar and back darts. I have layered the skirt over the Vinton Tee and paired it with Rex Super Skinny Jean and Minos Casual Shoes.

This look is more casual but can still be worn in the working environment. Hope you all are 'checking' this print out. Love TWD xo

I'm doing this for the thrill of it, killin' it

Morning Lovelies

Isn't Canberra's weather today beautiful?
The sun is out, the wind is currently hiding and the flowers have bloomed!

I personally love spring; it makes me happy.
I have always loved flowers and this time of the year.
When I was little, mum would take me for walks in my stroller and we would always arrive home with a bouquet of handpicked flowers.

This has most likely led to my love of floral prints.
The work place can be quite dull and when you wear a floral print it freshens up the working environment.

The skirt below is from Forevernew. The silhouette of the skirt is perfect for spring time as it is feminine and floaty. I have tucked in a white shirt to keep it corporate and suitable for the office. The outfit is quite fresh and modern and is likely to brighten up your day job.

I hope you have an amazing day. Love TWD xo

The trend has a modern edge and it is here to stay for spring/summer.

But how to pull it off like Rihanna?

STYLE TIP: The trick is either channel the same colour or go for a contrast between different hues.

Check out my version of the double denim trend. I have changed the outfit from casual to work by adding some beige shoes, clutch and a masculine watch.

Shirt - Forever 21
T-Shirt - Bardot

PS all these brands sell online so don't feel like you are missing out because you don't live in the USA.

Hope you like the look. Love TWD xo
