Is Navy the new Black?

Morning Lovelies

How did you go with the Melbourne Cup yesterday?
Did you find the perfect outfit and place a sneaky bet that paid off?
Well no matter what happened yesterday I hope you enjoyed your work function or day at Thoroughbred Park.

Todays look explores the menswear navy trend from the YD store in the Canberra Centre. Navy works best when it is complemented with purple and brown tones. That is why the outfit works well and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Check out the product descriptions below to see how you can put together the outfit yourself:

Navy. Skinny-fit chino pant. Featuring a zip-up fly front, side pockets and welt pockets at back. Style with a relaxed printed t-shirt and simple boat shoes for an on-trend look. 100% Cotton.

Lace-up dress shoe. Featuring a snip toe, lace up closure with stitched panelling on the side. Wear with dark wash jeans and a roll up shirt for the weekend. Leather Upper.

How to dress your man

Good afternoon lovelies

You can't deny that when a man walks into your office wearing a well thought out outfit that it grabs your attention. You then think to yourself who's the woman behind the man that picked that outfit out!
I'm am not trying to say that all man need help in the wardrobe department, but some men are hopeless and need an extra hand from a female perspective.
So how to dress your man?
Firstly you can’t make it all about you!
He probably won’t like it and will accuse you of being ‘controlling’.
When shopping for work outfits think about what his job position is, what presence he would like to make, what his favourite colours are, what style suits him best and what is your budget.
Once you have taken all of the above into consideration you then need to hit the shops to see what is available.
For example if your man is a public servant, in a APS 3 level position, works in a policy section, likes bright colours and comfortable pants, and your budget is around $400 then the perfect place for you to start is at the YD store in the Canberra Centre.
You'll be keeping an eye out for an outfit that creates a strong presence, looks professional and defines his own personal style. The YD store has many choices with an extensive selection of colours, styles, fits and trends.
Below is a YD outfit that captures the essence of a hard working office man who is looking for a promotion. The blue Kuma slim fit dress shirt adds a pop of colour to the office and when paired with the grey Karl Dress Jacket,  personalises the outfit to his style. Put it with the comfy black Darval Chino's which are stylish and slim fitte and complete the outfit with a Fierce Dress Belt and Hampen Dress Shoes.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Love TWD xo

Men in Black

Morning Lovelies!
Wow how fast has October gone! It is actually incredible how fast this year has flown by.
So many months of so many incredible outfits.

My favourite outfit on a man is black on black on black. It is defiantly the sexiest combination a man can wear.

Yes that's right, that means black blazer, black pants, black shirt, black belt and complete the look with black shoes!

This outfit is sexy, smart, sophisticated and really makes a strong first impression.

The outfit below is from the YD store in the Canberra Centre. It defiantly captures the essence of the black on black look!

Hope you find it just as sexy as I do! Love TWD xo

October Sunshine

Morning Lovelies

I hope you have all had a sunny weekend.

Todays outfit is quite bold.
It is clean and leaves a strong impression.

The three key statements, being the shoes, belt, blazer, complement the Finders Keepers Dream People Dress from the Alice Be Curious boutique. This outfit is sure to make you stand out at your work place.

So how does it work?
- The white blazer from Forevernew emphasis the pattern in the dress without taking over it,
- The belt from Forevernew accentuates the waist and gives the model an hour glass body shape,
- The Saintly shoes from Wittner complete the outfit by matching the tones in the belt, blazer and dress.

This outfit is really effective and the dress can be worn without a blazer as it features cap sleeves and a rounded hem. Check out the Alice Be Curious store to purchase this dress and many more spring arrivals at

Keep Calm, it's Monday! Love TWD xo

Greyscale 007

'The name is Bond, James Bond'

The modern James Bond (Daniel Craig) style suit is back.
This season saw tight black and grey suit’s all over the runway.
It is a powerful look and has a certain charismatic charm.

Let's be honest some men need help when it comes to the wardrobe department.
So lead your man in the right direction and take them shopping at the YD store in the Canberra Centre.

YD’s philosophy is ‘YD. is isn’t just a store, it’s a lifestyle'
Which is exactly right, the garments they produce are affordable and good quality.
And whether your man needs work shirts and pants, casual clothes or a suit, the YD store is the best place to start looking.

The outfit below features YD’s FoxSuit. The suit jacket features a single button closure, welt pocket at the chest and jet flap pockets at the hips. The suit pant features a zip up fly, side angled pockets and welt pockets at the back. I have accessorised the suit with the Peace Slim Fit Dress Shirt, Ladras Dress Beltand Malvern Dress Shoe.

You can also check out the online store at:
Hope you all have an amazing Friday. Love TWD xo
