Lavender Fields

Morning Lovelies

 

 

Lavender - a plant with small pale purple flowers that have a sweet smell and grows in the wildwoods.

 

 

Today's outfit explores a lavender button up blouse from Hunter the Label sold at Wildwood. The pretty pale shade is unmistakably feminine, but it's also refreshingly au courant.

I have enhanced the colour of the blouse by accessorising it with the pastal purple Mix Metal Facet Triangle Rope Necklace from Lovisa.

 

Pastel is a soft and delicate palette and is refreshing for corporate wear.

I have tucked the blouse into the black high-waisted pants also from Hunter the Label.

 

To finish of the look I have accessorised it with the Stephanie Fold Over Crossbody Bag from Collette and Milled shoes from Wittner.

 

This outfit is fun for the office and is sure to get some attention.

Four Seasons, One Day

Morning Lovelies

 

Wasn't yesterday a perfect example of how Canberra can have many seasons in the same day?

 

It started off being warm in the morning and ended up being one of the coldest nights!

 

It makes it nearly impossible to choose an outfit right?

Because in the morning it is nice and warm so you put on a gorgeous spring dress, but by the time you leave your office in the afternoon, you are frozen stiff and need pants, scarf, jacket, beanie and whatever you can get your hands on!

 

So being a Canberran you need to be smart.

In my cabinet at work I have a spare coat, shoes, scarf and umbrella. 

I used to be one of those lucky ones that had a car park underneath my building, so it didn't really matter what I wore as I never went outside!

 

So how to wear an outfit that suites all seasons?

Start off with a gorgeous spring dress, like the Flying North Frock - printed in Tulips from Pure Pod. Pair the dress with a white blazer (to protect you from light winds).

Bring a coat with you as well because you can easily wear it over your outfit or carry it over your arm.

 

And lastly check the weather app so you can prepare for what may come.

Lunch

When it comes to lunch time I always face the same dilemma...to buy or to pack lunch for work?

The thought of having someone else make my lunch is quite attractive but the thought of saving money always over rights my original thought...

 

The best way to save money and have a yummy lunch is to be organised.

When you go grocery shopping on the weekend think about buying items that  can make delicious meals and last a few days (for example laksa, lasagne, salad, quiche, curry etc) or try making Taste's Zucchini slice for an easy and yummy lunch idea.

 

Your colleagues will be jealous when they smell your lunch!

 

The dress below is from the clothing label Scarlette; it is easy to wear, comfortable and looks amazing on. I have accessorised the dress with jewellery from Lovisa and Sunglasses from Forevernew. Hope you like the look.

Monotone

This season monotone is a massive trend, stores are already on board selling massive stocks of white and black garments and accessories. Get on board with FOREVERNEW's one piece pant suit. It is feminine, flattering and easy to wear. Accessorise it with a white belt from Sportgirl and a faux fur jacket from Style by Shez. Chuck on some high heel shoes and off you go ready to impress your work colleagues. Some little black gloves and small gold earrings would also go nicely with this look. Love TWD xo
