Not only have I been enjoying my time exploring America, I have also been checking out the latest trends and street style.

Things that are huge here in America are double denim, bold prints, accessories and monotone.

My outfit below explores a bold print and accessories.

Innovative

Morning Lovelies!

We all have that gorgeous dress in our closest that's just a tad too short for the work environment.

So you must be wondering, how do you still wear the dress and not get a bad 'image'?

Like the below outfit, what you need to do is style the dress to make it work.

I have tucked my Tigermist dress into a plain black high waisted skirt from Supre to add length. The skirt goes to just above my knee and is a more suitable length for work.
I have then styled the look with a white belt and blazer from Forevernew to compliment the tones in the dress. There is a lot going on in this outfit, so the best colour shoes to go with are beige; this colour helps to keep the focal point on the dress. I hope this helps!

Monday Madness

Ahhhh the weekend is over and the madness of the working week has begun!
It's easy to feel a little depressed on a Monday morning so pick up your spirits with some electronic beats from Safia.

I love todays look as it features the Clothing Label Scarlette, created by local designer Steph Tallos. Her latest collection is inspired by autumn colours; plays with two dimensions and juxtaposes against three dimensional forms. The blocks of colour make the garments statement pieces and are easy to wear to the work environment.

Below the model is wearing Scarlette pants and top. The silhouette of the top is very in trend for the upcoming spring/summer style. I have styled the outfit with some cool head phones from Forevernew and bracelet from Lovisa. The look is very modern and the bold colours are a good way to stay away from black in the office space.

Just a quick FYI on Thursday I will be travelling to the USA where I hope to continue blogging and will try to update you regularly on the street style I discover on my travels. Love TWD xo

Day to Night

Today I am going to give you some tips on how you can take your work outfit and make it after work ready!

You can change your look by adding a:
-colourful bold necklace,
-fitted blazer that is a neutral colour,
- some killer pumps or boots,
-faux fur scarf or jacket,
-statement earrings,
-bright lip colour,

I've glamed up my work out with some fabulous accessories, shoes and a rocking coat!
I've worn a Rise of Dawn dress to work and styled it up with some high heels, Forevernew Clutch and Belt and coat by Style by Shez. This outfit demands attention and looks oh so stylish!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Love TWD xo

Introducing Andie Meredith, Canberra Designer

Australian women's wear label, Andie Meredith is built around the creative mind of the designer and owner, Andie Meredith. Her latest collection, as showcased at FASHFEST 2013, features feminine silhouettes and modern prints. What's interesting about Andie Meredith is that her prints remain exclusive to Andie Meredith and are derived from personal artworks. Each artwork is a response to the designers inspiration, taken from nature, a reflection of life experiences and the processes and works of Scottish Artist, Designer and Architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

I am loving Andie Meredith's World Ruling Pant and V T-Shirt. I've styled it with Forever News white blazer and belt, and gold accessories from Lovisa. This look makes an impact and is great for making a strong first impression. It would be perfect to wear on an interview, at a important meeting or when presenting. Love TWD xo

Geometric Prints

How do you wear Geometric Prints to work?

Firstly you need to shop around to find the print you like. Shops like Cue, Sportsgirl and Zara are currently selling easy to wear dresses, shirts and pants in all kinds of different geometrical prints.

Once you have found the print/garment you want to work with (mine is a dress from Sportsgirl as seen below) you need to look at the tones within the print. I've style my dress with a white blazer and belt and black gloves and boots (all from forevernew). The accessories accentuate the print and make the dress the focal point of your look. I love this look because it is modern, feminine, and gets
lots of compliments from colleagues. Love TWD xo

Monotone

This season monotone is a massive trend, stores are already on board selling massive stocks of white and black garments and accessories. Get on board with FOREVERNEW's one piece pant suit. It is feminine, flattering and easy to wear. Accessorise it with a white belt from Sportgirl and a faux fur jacket from Style by Shez. Chuck on some high heel shoes and off you go ready to impress your work colleagues. Some little black gloves and small gold earrings would also go nicely with this look. Love TWD xo
