Four Seasons, One Day

Morning Lovelies

 

Wasn't yesterday a perfect example of how Canberra can have many seasons in the same day?

 

It started off being warm in the morning and ended up being one of the coldest nights!

 

It makes it nearly impossible to choose an outfit right?

Because in the morning it is nice and warm so you put on a gorgeous spring dress, but by the time you leave your office in the afternoon, you are frozen stiff and need pants, scarf, jacket, beanie and whatever you can get your hands on!

 

So being a Canberran you need to be smart.

In my cabinet at work I have a spare coat, shoes, scarf and umbrella. 

I used to be one of those lucky ones that had a car park underneath my building, so it didn't really matter what I wore as I never went outside!

 

So how to wear an outfit that suites all seasons?

Start off with a gorgeous spring dress, like the Flying North Frock - printed in Tulips from Pure Pod. Pair the dress with a white blazer (to protect you from light winds).

Bring a coat with you as well because you can easily wear it over your outfit or carry it over your arm.

 

And lastly check the weather app so you can prepare for what may come.

Green is the colour of Spring

Cherry Blossoms in the Park

As the saying goes Spring has sprung in Canberra and there is no better way to fully embrace Spring than to visit Floriade, go to the races and wear floral prints. 

 

 This weekend's weather was perfect for a lovely stroll through the cherry blossoms.

And what better way to reminisce than to wear a cherry blossom print to work.

Spring has Sprung?

Windy Wednesday

Well hasn’t the weather been quite dull lately….But luck is coming our way because this weekend is forecast to be sunny and 20 degrees. With weather like this you need to find the perfect spring outfit.

Come and check out the Canberra Centre fashion shows happening this Thursday to Sunday, which I will be involved in styling. The fashion shows will be showcasing the latest looks from stores within the Canberra Centre to keep you on trend for this Spring season.

Today’s look screams Spring. It is the perfect combination of a cute floral dress (Review), neutral shoes(Peep Toe), modern ear cuff (Bardot) and a complimentary white blazer (ForeverNew).

There is nothing like adding a splash of colour to a commonly black work wardrobe.

Yesterday I wore a beautiful yellow tulip skirt to work in celebration of Spring and every single person on my level was wearing black.

I stood out a mile!

Keeping it simple in Anaheim

Today's post comes to you all the way from Anaheim, California.

 

I have been told that the weather in Canberra has been amazing. So keep it simple this spring with a sunshine yellow high waisted skirt and some beige heels. Don't forget to belt it and accessorise it with some red lips.

 

You can make the look more corporate with a white blazer and slick pony tail.

Sounds interesting hey! but don't panic I am not talking about the hideous Britney and Justin mishap....

The trend has a modern edge and it is here to stay for spring/summer.

 

But how to pull it off like Rihanna?

STYLE TIP: The trick is either channel the same colour or go for a contrast between different hues.

 

Check out my version of the double denim trend. I have changed the outfit from casual to work by adding some beige shoes, clutch and a masculine watch.

Sunshine in Florida

The best part about working is being able to enjoy a holiday every now and then.

It just makes working hard so much better when you have a holiday to look forward too.

 

Todays post is all the way from Orlando, Florida. The look is inspired by Orlando's famous outlet shopping. The dress is Michael Kors and was bought from Neiman Marcus for a crazy price of just $44! P.S. If you bought a dress like this in Australia you would be looking at an average price of around $400!!!
